She is one of the most interesting newcomers in the German piano scene. The Russian born and grew up in Germany pianist Olga Scheps gave her 2009 debut at the prestigious Klavier Festival Ruhr and made recently for the sold-out enthusiasm in the Munich Philharmonic.
The debut CD of just 22 years young pianist combines the most beautiful pieces by Chopin on CD: the famous Ballade in G minor, dancing waltzes and mazurkas, nocturnes, and the dreamy rarely rehearsed "Trois Nouvelles Etudes". The recording was made at the Jesus Christ Church in Berlin, famous for their special acoustics. There is also a bonus track on the CD Chopin Fantasie Op 49, recorded live at the Piano Festival Ruhr 2009th
A poetic and compelling business card of the attractive newcomer and a student of Alfred Brendel, one of the major piano talents of her generation: Olga Scheps, "the new star in the sky-Chopin," the FAZ verdict after one of their concerts. - Amazon.de
